Terms of Service
Operator, scope and acceptance
These Terms govern use of ArchForge at https://archforge.nl, operated by Jeffrey Services B.V. at De Steeg, The Netherlands, legal contact info@jeffrey-services.nl. They cover websites, Git Smart HTTP, repository collaboration, community areas, APIs and services offered by ArchForge. ArchForge Desktop has additional software terms. Creating an account or using a feature subject to these Terms indicates acceptance only when the applicable publication and acceptance process has been completed. The effective date must be displayed on the published version.
Accounts and security
Provide accurate required account information and keep credentials private. You are responsible for activity under your account except where applicable law says otherwise. Use unique credentials and enable available 2FA. Personal access tokens and SSH private keys must not be posted publicly. Misuse or compromise should be reported promptly. Services may be subject to fair-use and technical limits that are disclosed when implemented.
Your repositories and intellectual property
You retain rights in content you lawfully own. By uploading content, you grant ArchForge only the limited license needed to host, process, cache, display, transmit, clone, back up and technically operate the service according to your visibility and sharing settings. You warrant that you have necessary rights to upload material. A public repository's visibility is not an open-source license; reuse depends on an applicable license or law. Other users may preserve authorized copies of public material, and this service cannot revoke external clones.
Public, private and shared content
Public repositories and posts may be indexed and copied worldwide. Private repositories are access-controlled, not end-to-end encrypted, and access may be granted to collaborators and authorized operators as required for operation and legal obligations. Do not put secrets in Git history. Shared projects, forks and organization memberships may continue to exist independently after an account or repository change. Repositories and accounts can be affected by branch protections, permissions and safety controls.
Acceptable use and community conduct
Do not upload illegal content, infringe rights, distribute malicious code as a means of attacking others, evade security controls, spam, dox, harass or impersonate. Legitimate security research and source-code discussion may be permitted when conducted lawfully and without harmful distribution. The Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines provide examples and reporting options. Disputes are reviewed with context rather than treated as automatically proven allegations.
Availability, changes and termination
The service is provided subject to available infrastructure, maintenance and reasonable abuse controls. No uptime or retention guarantee is made unless separately agreed. We may revise features, impose communicated limits or suspend access for a justified security, legal or policy reason, proportionately and with any notices and redress that applicable law requires. You may request closure of your account. We assess exports, backups, public Git clones, shared repositories, evidence preservation and statutory obligations on closure.
Voluntary donations via SumUp
If enabled, ArchForge may offer one-time voluntary donations through a SumUp-hosted payment page; donations are not subscriptions or purchases of Git features unless explicitly stated. Describe actual cancellation, refund and error-handling terms, applicable legal obligations and provider charges without inventing rights or exceptions: **All donations made to our platform are voluntary and non-refundable.
By making a donation, you acknowledge and agree that your contribution is final and that no refunds will be provided, except where required by applicable law.
Donations do not constitute payment for goods or services and do not guarantee access to additional features or benefits.
Payments are securely processed through our authorized payment providers.
If you believe a payment was made in error, was duplicated, or was unauthorized, please contact our support team for assistance.**. Financial details and dispute procedures must be checked before publication.
Payments and consumer rights
**Our platform is provided free of charge. Users can access and use the platform without making any payments.
Users may voluntarily support the platform through donations, which are securely processed by SumUp.
Donations are entirely optional and do not provide additional services, premium features, or special privileges.
All donations are generally non-refundable, except where refunds are required by applicable law.
Users retain all mandatory consumer rights and protections under applicable Dutch and European Union legislation.
If paid services or subscriptions are introduced in the future, all applicable prices, payment conditions, and consumer rights will be clearly communicated before purchase.** — clarify whether any paid plans exist and, if so, describe prices, renewals, refunds, withdrawal rights and mandatory consumer-law information in a separate reviewed schedule. Do not treat this template as an authorization to charge users.
Liability and governing law
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer protections. Any permitted limitation must be proportionate and reviewed. Applicable law, forum and consumer dispute rights: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes between the platform and consumers will first be addressed through direct communication in an effort to reach an amicable resolution. If no resolution can be reached, disputes may be submitted to the competent courts in accordance with applicable law. Consumers retain all mandatory rights and protections under applicable Dutch and European Union consumer protection legislation, including any applicable rights in their country of residence.. An unlawful term will not eliminate mandatory protections.
Changes and version history
This policy applies from its stated effective date once published. Material changes are dated and versioned. Earlier versions remain available to administrators for audit, and any notice or renewed agreement required by applicable law is handled separately. Questions and legally valid notices may be sent using the contact details in the Legal Notice.
